Mojca Dimec Bogdanovski

Mojca Dimec has a diploma of pedagogy of slovene language and literature. In 1984 she started in Ana Monroe Theatre. As a free artist she created more than 100 street actions, theatre works and occasional performances in last 12 years and worked with most of the important independent artist. Since 1990 she has been intensivelly occupied with improvisational theatre (Impro). In the year 1996 she started her carriere as a teacher of slovene language and literature and began combining the two: theatre art and education. In the year 1996 she established ŠILA – school league of improvisation, which in few years time became a special theatre movement of high-school youth. Today ŠILA incoroporates more than 20 improvisational groups from different slovene Gymnasiums, that is more than 500 pupils. In the year 1999 Mojca Dimec established Združeno ŠILA gledališče za maturante (ŠILA theatre for highschool graduates) which has so far created six educational performances: Maturant 1999, Maturant 2000, Maturant 2001, Maturant 2002, Maturant 2003 and Gverila Theatre, that every year accompaigns more than 4000 highschool graduates to the slovene language and literature exam. This is one of the most noble projects that combines playfull with usefull. ŠILO with school.



 
   
 




Mojca is also the author of curricullum for Impro workshop, an obligatory workshop on gimnasium of drama and theatre in Nova Gorica. She is therefore the first impro teacher. She is the author of many high-school projects for the major events (Lepo je biti knjižnji molj – impro quiz for Book fair 2000, 2001, 2002, the opening ceremony for Transgeneracija – Festival of contemporary youth art 2000, 2001, 2002…)


As one of the founding member of Fičo Balet she colaborate with Goran D. Bogdanovski as dramaturg and art / theory researcher.


 In 2001 she founded Metrix, a small theatre company, producing an ongoing play for three actresses that grows an actress every year, the goal: a hundred.
